DR. SHERMAN FARAHANI

Dr. Sherman Farahani is a specialist in Prosthodontics, focusing on full mouth rehabilitations, complex restorative and reconstructive procedures, and implant dentistry with a particular emphasis on esthetic outcomes and long-term stability and functionality. He grew up in Vancouver, British Columbia, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry in 2007.

He then moved to New York and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from NYU Dentistry in 2012. In 2013 he completed a residency in general practice at New York-Presbyterian Hospital Queens, followed by a three-year specialty residency in Prosthodontics at NYU Dentistry, where he was trained to deliver the highest level of care in the most complex treatments. For his achievements in the program, he received the coveted Addisman Boot Award.

Dr. Farahani believes the health and wellbeing of each individual should be the focus of their treatment, and thus he strives to deliver excellent individualized care utilizing the most biologically sound techniques as well as the most cutting-edge technology available in dentistry.

Furthermore, Dr. Farahani is a firm believer in lifelong learning as well as contributing to the knowledge of the field of dentistry and prosthodontics, as such he continues to be a part-time Clinical Associate Professor at NYU College of Dentistry. He is a member of the American College of Prosthodontists and the Academy of Innovative Dentistry. In his spare time, he is an avid fitness enthusiast, loves cars, motorsports, and traveling, and above all values spending time with family and friends.
